A Windy Test Shoot

Fashion, Location, Test Shoot

Sometimes when photography things slow down a bit, I'll reach out to local model agencies for new talent that they need portfolio photos for. Aptly named "test shoots" these shoots are nice way to build up a reputation with local modeling agencies as well as get some new faces and future talent in front of my camera.

I reached out to WSM Talent and they sent me the wonderful Harper. We headed on over to a local monument to do some test shooting! I love test shoots because I can try new techniques or editing styles that I perhaps wouldn't try on a paid client job. For Harper's shoot, I experimented with strong wind and flowing elements in the image (hair, clothes, etc.) Normally I would avoid these things and Photoshop them out if they were being a problem in the image but for Harper's set. I wanted to embrace them. The results were great and with a little TLC in Capture One Pro, Harper and I left with some wonderful images. Take a look at a handful of our top selects below!
